Challenge
Users frequently abandoned the process mid-way due to unclear feedback and poor guidance during ID verification. The design also lacked mobile optimization, leading to frustration on smaller screens.
Approach
I simplified the process into a 3-step flow with progress indicators and contextual microcopy. Real-time feedback and animation cues were added to confirm successful uploads and prevent errors.
Outcome
41% increase in successful verifications
Reduced average verification time from 3 mins to 1 min 45s
